Bayahibe

The fishing village Bayahibe is the best starting point for diving in the Dominican Republic and is also where you will find our dive center… ScubaFun. In front of this small village begins the very beautiful and protected park called Parque Nacional del Este. Among its delicate ecosystems are sea-grass beds, mangrove forests, rocky coasts, sandy beaches, subtropical forests, and much more, including the most important feature to us, the incredible coral reefs. Within these rich, colorful reefs, a myriad of sea life awaits you. Lobster, eagle rays, manatees, whales, sharks, dolphins, turtles and much more.

The Dive Sites

All dive sites are just a short, 5 to 30 minute, boat ride away. The dives typically range from 30 to 100 feet deep with difficulty levels for all divers. Excellent snorkeling is available as well. The beautiful weather, calm seas and underwater visibility of 100 feet or more are practically guaranteed year round. All of which makes this region one of the most spectacular diving destinations in the world!

Our Service

PADI certification classes are taught by our friendly, knowledgeable staff. We have clean, state of the art, rental equipment available for your comfort and convenience and our fleet of well maintained boats will whisk you out to the dive sites in safety and style. Most important, our professional diving staff is committed to insuring a SAFE and enjoyable diving experience for everyone.

ScubaFun Sponsors Coral Restoration

Here at ScubaFun we are actively involved in the coral restoration in Bayahibe. We offer our equipment and boats free of charge for these programs to be executed and send our team along to help out whenever we can.

Lion Fish Tournament Bayahibe

The Lion Fish is an invasive fish species here in Bayahibe, it is destoying our local fish populations which has a negative affect on the environment. We take part in the Lion Fish Tournament every year and we catch as many of these beautiful but destructive fish as we can on all of our dives all year round.
